“Pieno Inverno” (Italian for ‘Midwinter’) has been framed with an asymmetrical flare covered in a black beaded cotton fabric featuring a large scallop design and inset it with an appliqué of hand-dyed silver floral braiding and an edging of lacquered black lace heavily hand-embossed with Swarovski elements and pearl beading. Individually cut scallops of the same material and edged with miniature black rhinestones are also set around the face.

A traditionally shaped half-crown covered in the same fabric as the flare but edged with a miniature sequinned braiding and embossing of pearl beading and rhinestone highlights firms the striking centrepiece with a wintry feel of a silver foliage lacework supporting jet bead icicles set behind.

 Black and miniature rhinestones and silver tipped eyelashes behind which rise sparkling eyebrows that reflect the lacework of silver foliage behind the crown frame the eyes and a black net frill, roses and a liberal spritzing of black rhinestones provide the finishing touches to this dark, wintry goddess.
